May 25, 2017, Moscow. - The ‘Technologies for managing mobile environment in a retail company’ conference, organized by Mobile Dimension and sponsored by Samsung, took place at Dewocracy on May 25th. The conference brought together retail industry representatives and mobile IT experts to get familiar with advanced technologies and their use cases.
Among the speakers were Andrey Podgornov, managing partner of Mobile Dimension, Vyacheslav Popkov, commercial director and co-founder of the Sherlock chat bot platform, Alexander Metz, business development manager of Samsung SDS, Ekaterina Ivanova, product owner of “Tablet for retail assistants” project at M.Video, Alexander Shubin, managing partner of PBC Management, and Julia Pakina, business development manager for IBM Watson Explorer.
Invitation-only conference was attended by more than 30 experts from leading Russian retail companies, more than 1000 viewers watched the event broadcast online.
Presentations were split into two key areas - b2b and b2c technologies. Within the b2b block, experts discussed how mobile technologies affect internal business processes in retail, while b2c block was about the transformation of customer interactions with mobile devices and services.
Mobile technologies drastically change the retail business and the customer interaction mechanics, noted Andrey Podgornov. Online technologies are actively integrated on the offline store floors, making communication with users more interactive and allowing to learn more about their behaviour. The expert named augmented reality (AR), cognitive systems of artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IoT), smart retail equipment and customer behaviour management systems among the most promising technologies for retail.
